Currently in her second year, Sophia is studying Kinesiology at the University of Toronto. Sophia’s experience throughout her first year in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education included being on the faculty’s Board of Directors, as well as a Frosh week leader for incoming students. Aside from being the past social director and now current Vice-President of the Ukrainian Students’ Club at UofT, Sophia actively participates within the Ukrainian community in Toronto, as well as in the USA. From being a counsellor in PLAST, to annually fundraising for the Ukrainian Canadian Care Centre (UCCC), to recently having been a trainer for the Ukrainian Soccer Club, “RUTA,” Sophia believes that any kind of engagement within the Ukrainian community is an excellent way to build character, while supporting a cultural cause that one is passionate about.
