Support for Displaced Ukrainian Students
This page highlights support for displaced Ukrainian students in Canada through advocacy campaigns, open letters, and toolkits to help secure fair tuition, academic and mental health support, and reduced bureaucracy.

Post-secondary institutions may stand in solidarity with Ukraine and the global community by supporting the principles of sovereignty, democracy, and legal norms. This includes offering domestic tuition rates, emergency bursaries, and clear support pathways for Ukrainian international students affected by the war. Due to financial hardship and expenses related to displacement and relocation, many risk losing access to education. Institutions are encouraged to establish transparent frameworks for admitting and assisting displaced students and scholars, including tuition relief and living support.
SUSK maintains a regularly updated list of resources for Ukrainian international students. To share additional supports, please email: info@susk.ca with the subject line Support for UKR INT Students – additional resources.
Institution-Specific Fee Waivers
Several institutions and provinces have introduced special support for Ukrainian students. Details about institution-specific fee waivers and financial support will be provided in a separate section listing universities and colleges individually.
