SUSK’s mandate is to advocate for the concerns of Ukrainian-Canadian students across the country by acting as a national forum for our USOs and associated members. SUSK also provides resources in an effort to inform those on and off campus about Ukrainian and Ukrainian-Canadian history and culture. Here are some examples of events and projects SUSK or affiliate USOs have worked on:

As a leading voice in the Ukrainian-Canadian community, SUSK adopts the following positions with respect to key policy issues relating to Ukraine and Canada. We strive to update this document annually, however, if you have feedback or input on key issues facing Ukrainian-Canadian students, please email [email protected].

Make sure to also check out our press releases for more information.

SUSK calls upon its member Ukrainian Students’ Organizations to commemorate and raise awareness about the Holodomor at universities across the country. Events may include film screenings, informational exhibits/displays, lectures, seminars, and memorial events. See what USOs have done in the past, or check out our resources and information from the Ukrainian Canadian Congress (UCC) National Holodomor Awareness Committee for hosting Holodomor-related events.

For several years, SUSK has partnered with the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) in facilitating the Postcards for Prisoners project. USOs and students who have participated in the project select a Ukrainian political prisoner to write to, and then send the card to the address provided. Check out what some of our member USOs have done on their campuses.

SUSK is continuously working on a variety of projects with the Ukrainian-Canadian community and the Ukrainian global community. Any new projects or projects updates will be listed here, or on our Facebook page.
